Reflections on the reading of Wearable Electronics and Smart Textiles: A Critical Review by Matteo Stoppa and Alessandro Chiolerio –
This article is a thorough in-depth useful list of the wearable electronics and smart textiles, some are being developed and some are already available in the field.
It divides the “Smart Textiles” into three subgroups:
- passive smart textiles
- active smart textiles which react to stimuli
- very smart textiles which are able to sense, react and adapt
It is amazing to know about the many directions researchers take, and how many new developments are being made. I wish for a store or a library that would accommodate all the available inventions so that people will be able to more easily experiment.
