Populating board was much fun, especially working with the SMT machine.

I worked with David and Esther and we had some trouble uploading the Bootloader at first, as we didn’t know we need to plug in the board as well as the programmer. Once we realized both the AVRISP programmer and the board need to be connected, we had trouble uploading the sketch. In the end Chino came along and saved us: Instead of hitting ‘upload’, one has to hit ‘upload using programmer’ and using AVRISP as the programmer and not call it Arduino as ISP as we tried at first.  Also we downgraded AVRboard version via board manager, as per his suggestion – we don’t know what this really means.

We checked the board using our iphone selfie camera and saw it was blinking as it checks infrared light.

it works!
